New Material

product marketing and strategy to help brands feel more human

I get brought in when the bet is big and the problem is hard.

Hi I’m Mia!

For 14 years I've been the person who takes a rough idea and makes it new and material. In a world that’s loud and disconnected, I help some of your favorite brands make things make sense

My work at Hinge, Cash App, Google, and many startups can be described as culturally fluent, emotionally intelligent, and annoyingly ambitious.

Now I offer fractional, full-stack product marketing leadership for a small number of companies at a time across marketplace business, AI, fintech, CPG, and emerging materials.

My best work lives at the intersection of messy social problems then translating them into stories that people remember.

Some of the questions I've been hired to answer:

  • “What do we owe people when AI enters their most vulnerable dating moments?” (Hinge, 2025)

  • “Where do we fit in a family’s first money conversation?” (Cash App, 2024)

  • “Will people ever get comfortable personifying a hardware speaker? (Google, 2018)

I live at 0→1. I’ve consistently been hired for new initiatives — not just "early stage" but the genuinely uncharted stuff before the category exists, before the behavior is proven, before anyone knows if it'll work.
